I am research veterinarian based at the Institute of Primate Research, Kenya. I have a Ph.D. in Biology from Duke University, a Master of science in Medical Physiology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Nairobi.
My research interests are focused on understanding sources of variance in disease risk in wild animal populations and zoonoses risk factors. My areas of specialization include zoonoses, disease ecology, parasitology, molecular biology, physiology, and animal behavior.
Currently, I am an early career fellow for the organization of women in science in developing countries and a mentee for the international veterinary vaccinology network.
